Product Name SMART SHEEP WALK-THROUGH WEIGHING SCALE
Product Image Smart Sheep Walk-Through Weighing Scale
Product Overview The Smart Sheep Walk-Through Weighing Scale is designed for automated livestock identification, weighing and digital data management on goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep and goat farms. Animals pass individually through the enclosed weighing passage, where the system identifies the electronic ear tag, records body weight and uploads the corresponding data automatically.

A PLC serves as the central controller for data processing, communication and automatic gate operation. Depending on project requirements, the system can also be configured with 4G data transmission, camera monitoring and environmental temperature collection.

Key Features
  • Automatic Animal Identification: Electronic ear-tag recognition links each weighing record to the corresponding sheep or goat.
  • Automatic Livestock Weighing: The integrated weighing platform records individual body weight as animals pass through the station.
  • Automatic Gate Control: Electrically operated entrance and exit gates support an organized one-animal-at-a-time weighing process.
  • PLC Central Control: The PLC manages data processing, communication and the operating logic of the electric components.
  • Automatic Data Upload: Weighing and identification information can be uploaded for digital flock management.
  • Optional 4G Communication: Mobile-network data transmission can be configured according to farm connectivity requirements.
  • Expandable Monitoring: Camera and temperature data collection can be added for smart livestock management projects.
  • Integrated Passage Structure: Enclosed side panels and controlled gates help guide animals through the weighing area efficiently.
Working Principle When a sheep enters the weighing passage, the electronic identification system reads its ear tag and associates the animal with its individual record. The PLC coordinates the gate sequence and weighing process so the animal is positioned correctly on the scale.

Load sensors beneath the weighing platform measure body weight and transmit the signal to the control system. Identification and weight data are processed and stored or uploaded according to the configured communication method.

After the weighing cycle is completed, the PLC controls the exit gate to allow the animal to leave and prepares the station for the next sheep.

  • Verify network communication and data upload functions where 4G or remote data transmission is installed.
  • Back up livestock records regularly when the station is connected to farm management software.
Product FAQ

Q: What does the smart sheep scale record?
A: The standard system identifies the animal's electronic ear tag and records its body weight. Additional information can be collected according to the selected configuration.

Q: Does the scale upload data automatically?
A: Yes. Automatic data upload is one of the main functions of the system.

Q: What controls the weighing process?
A: A PLC performs data processing, communication and logical control of the electric components and automatic gates.

Q: Are the entrance and exit gates automatic?
A: Yes. The system is designed with automatically controlled gates for livestock passage management.

Q: Can 4G communication be added?
A: Yes. 4G data transmission can be configured according to customer and project requirements.

Q: Can a camera be integrated?
A: Yes. Camera monitoring can be added as an optional smart-farm configuration.

Q: Can the system collect temperature information?
A: Yes. Temperature collection can be integrated according to project requirements.

Q: Does this model automatically sort sheep into different groups?
A: The current product specification confirms automatic identification, weighing, gate control and data upload. Automatic multi-way drafting should be confirmed separately if required for the project.
