| Product Overview |
The Semen Thaw Cup is a portable thermostatically controlled water-bath unit designed for thawing frozen semen straws before livestock artificial insemination. It provides a stable and repeatable thawing environment for breeding technicians, herd managers and veterinary reproduction teams. The compact structure integrates a water chamber, heating system, temperature sensor, control components and protective housing into one convenient unit. Depending on the selected configuration, AC and DC power options support use in breeding rooms, livestock barns and mobile A.I. service vehicles. For common bovine artificial insemination procedures, comparable professional thaw units operate at approximately 95–98°F. Actual thawing temperature and exposure time should always follow the semen supplier's recommended protocol. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
Clean water is added to the internal chamber and heated by an electric heating element. A temperature sensor monitors the water bath while the thermostatic control system regulates heater operation to maintain the required temperature range. After the bath reaches the specified temperature, frozen semen straws are transferred from the liquid nitrogen storage container into the warm water. The straws remain in the bath for the period specified by the semen supplier before being removed, dried and prepared for artificial insemination. The controlled water-bath principle supports consistent semen handling procedures and helps reduce unnecessary temperature variation during preparation. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Installation: Place the thaw cup on a stable and dry working surface in the breeding room, livestock barn or service vehicle. No complicated fixed installation is normally required. Water Filling: Add clean water to the recommended working level before connecting the power supply. Preheating: Allow the water bath to reach and stabilize at the required temperature before introducing frozen semen straws. Operation: Follow the semen supplier's recommended thawing temperature and exposure time for the specific semen product. Cleaning: Disconnect electrical power before draining or cleaning. Empty the chamber after operation and wipe accessible surfaces clean. Routine Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cable, adapter, housing, lid and temperature-control components. Keep all electrical connections dry. Storage: Store the unit clean and dry and protect it from freezing temperatures, excessive impact and aggressive livestock-house chemicals. |
