Pig Catching Tongs & Pig Catching Rake

Product Showcase Content
Product Name Pig Catching Tongs & Pig Catching Rake
Product Image Long-handle pig catching tongs and pig catching rake for swine restraint and handling
Product Overview

The Pig Catching Tongs and Pig Catching Rake are manual livestock handling tools designed for controlled short-duration restraint and positioning of pigs in commercial swine farms, breeding facilities and veterinary operations.

The long-handle construction increases the operator's working reach, while the specialized catching heads help control an individual pig without requiring the handler to remain immediately beside the animal.

Two different catching structures are available: a mechanical clamp-style catcher and a multi-prong catching rake, allowing farms to select a configuration according to pig size, pen layout and handling requirements.

Product Gallery The product range includes a long-handle mechanical pig catching tong with hand-operated jaws and a long-handle multi-prong pig catching rake. Both designs provide extended reach for pig handling in pens, aisles and treatment areas.
Key Features
  • Two Catching Styles: Available as mechanical catching tongs or a multi-prong catching rake.
  • Long-Handle Design: Provides extended working reach for safer and more convenient pig handling.
  • Durable Metal Construction: Manufactured from robust metal materials for repeated commercial farm use.
  • Stainless-Steel Configuration: Stainless-steel construction is listed for selected product versions.
  • Manual Operation: Requires no electricity, batteries, hydraulic system or compressed air.
  • Simple Farm Tool: Easy to carry between pens, treatment areas and livestock-handling locations.
  • Commercial Swine Application: Suitable for pig farms, breeding facilities and veterinary handling operations.
  • Low Maintenance: Simple mechanical construction allows convenient inspection and cleaning.
Working Principle

The catching-tong version uses a long mechanical linkage between the hand grip and catching jaws. When the operator actuates the handle, the jaws close to provide temporary restraint during controlled handling.

The catching-rake version uses a long rigid pole and curved multi-prong head to assist with positioning or controlling pigs in a confined handling area. Both tools should be used gently by trained personnel and should not be used to lift or suspend an animal.
