Structural Components

A typical package includes a pressure-rated sterilization vessel, heating connections, fat inlet and outlet piping, pressure relief provisions, temperature and pressure instruments, valves and an electrical control panel. Working Principle

Rendered fat is charged into the vessel and heated under controlled pressure. The control system starts the holding period only after the required process conditions have been reached. Following the validated hold, pressure is released in a controlled manner and the treated fat is discharged for subsequent handling or storage. The operating recipe must be established for the material category, applicable regulations and local approval requirements.
