| Product Overview | The Veterinary Mercury Thermometer with Safety Cord is a traditional contact thermometer designed for routine body temperature measurement in livestock and other animals. The thermometer has a measuring range of 35–43°C and an approximate length of 11 cm. A rear anti-drop groove allows attachment of the supplied retaining cord and metal clip, helping reduce the risk of accidental loss or dropping during veterinary rectal temperature measurement. |

| Working Principle | Mercury inside the sealed glass capillary expands as temperature increases and contracts as temperature decreases. During measurement, the mercury column rises to a position corresponding to the animal's body temperature. The temperature is read directly from the graduated scale. Before subsequent use, the mercury column must be returned below the expected measuring range according to the normal operating procedure for a clinical glass thermometer. |
